What Pilotbook works out for you
Log a sector and Pilotbook works out block and airborne time, night time, day and night take-offs and landings, and the credit your role earns: P1, P2, P1(U/S), dual or instructor. Change any number you like. Pilotbook never changes it back.
Night follows your regulator. For DGCA it runs from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise; EASA and FAA logbooks use civil twilight instead.
- A flight timer: stamp OUT, OFF, ON and IN from the Lock Screen
- Quick log: type a line such as DEL BOM 0415 0630 VT-IZN A320 P2 and the sector is done
- Recency for DGCA, EASA, FAA and Transport Canada, plus your operator's own rules
- Expiry reminders for your licence, medical, IR, PPC, FRTOL, English proficiency and passport
Duty and FDTL limits to DGCA CAR 7-J-III
Pilotbook checks flight time, duty and rest against DGCA CAR Section 7 Series J Part III, including the rolling flight-time limits of 35 hours in 7 days, 100 hours in 28 days and 1,000 hours in 365 days. Import your roster from an .ics file, your iPhone calendar or pasted text, and see a problem before you report for it.
Duty limits cover DGCA rules only. Pilotbook has no EASA or FAA duty-limit rule set yet. Its figures are a planning aid: your operator's approved scheme and your official records govern.
Print in your country's format
Pilotbook prints logbook pages in layouts for DGCA, EASA, UK CAA, GCAA, FAA, Transport Canada, CASA, CAA New Zealand, SACAA and ICAO. Page totals are checked before you print, and every PDF carries a verification code so anyone can check that a print hasn't been changed.
Rule 67A monthly certification, countersignatures and instructor endorsements are signed on your iPhone. Reports include DGCA CA-39 with an eGCA pre-check, FAA 8710 figures, airline experience grids and a pilot CV.
What's free and what Pro adds
Free forever: logging, totals, import, export, iCloud sync, Ready to fly, recency, reminders, the flight timer, printing in your own regulator's format, Rule 67A monthly certification and the quarterly sheet, and printing your endorsements. Pilots with under 250 hours of flight time get Pro free.
Pilotbook Pro adds roster import, FDTL limits and the look ahead, every international print format and PDF verification, reports, countersigning and instructor sign-offs, scanning, Ask, widgets and Live Activities. Pilotbook is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), eGCA or any other aviation authority. Duty and FDTL figures are a planning aid: your operator's approved scheme and your official records govern.
